Tagtec is seeking to license technology to suppliers and users of security/asset monitoring systems. Tagtec’s innovation in wireless security uses low cost, easily installed, portable monitoring systems for constant protection.

Tagtec systems have been developed to meet the need to continuously protect valuable assets and warn whenever they are moved within an occupied space

So what’s new, what’s different?

Traditional security systems are commonly deployed to detect intruders and protect assets in unoccupied locations. They do not work well in situations where people enter and leave an area legitimately.

Tagtec has overcome this problem by developing patented wireless security technology ideal for protecting valuables 24/7 in any occupied location.

Potential applications include: domestic households, museums, art galleries, exhibitions, retail outlets, schools, colleges, commercial and industrial premises, vehicles and their contents.

A typical security application to protect ten pictures in an art exhibition during viewing hours can be installed in minutes for less than €300. The Tagtec system will instantly detect changes in position as small as 5mm or whenever tags are tampered with. The system is easily portable and has major cost and convenience benefits over other solutions.

The breakthrough comes from Tagtec’s unique dual frequency approach which utilises low frequencies, that are unaffected by environmental disturbances, for movement detection and high frequencies for efficient system communications. This unique approach in low cost tags opens up a wide range of applications utilising unregulated frequencies that are the most appropriate to the desired requirements of range and sensitivity.
